This guide will show you how to impose a Disciplinary Sanction manually for any player in the Football Competition Management Platform.
If a sanction is being uploaded in the match events for any game, this disciplinary measure will display automatically on the Sanctions option for the competition, as per it was set up on the Disciplinary rules when creating the competition. further details explained in the solution Add a Discipline Rule to a Competition.
The Football Competition Manager Platform counts with sanctions set by default, such as The 2nd Yellow Red card or The Direct Red card which book 1 game of suspension for any player who is being awarded the card.
After a sanction has been awarded during a game, and it is decided to extend the number of games of suspension for any especial reason, it will be required to follow the next step:
1. Go to the Discipline option in the Competition
When being on the Discipline tab, select the Sanctions option. This will display all the suspensions or Financial penalties booked for the players, and other members such as Team officials or Match officials.
2. Select IMPOSE SANCTION
After clicking on IMPOSE SANCTION, two options will be now available Match suspension and Financial penalty.
A. Match Suspension
In order to extend match suspension due to any special situation in or after a match, it will be required to fill the next 3 mandatory fields to complete the new and extended disciplinary sanction:
Offender*
Select if the Offender was a Player or a Team Official.
Suspension*
Select the number of games the Player or Team official will be suspended.
If a player was booked with a red card, and the sanction is being extended for 2 extra games, The total suspension should be for 3 games, and in Comment, it can be explained why there are extra games being added to the suspension.
Related Match*
Select ADD MATCH on the right-hand side.
The possible related matches will show, tick on the right one and click on ADD.
After the related match is successfully added, click on IMPOSE to save the New Sanction.
As soon as the sanction is imposed, it will display in the sanctions tab for the competition.
In case of need to cancel or closing the sanction, click on the Active box and the options will appear.
B. Financial penalty
In order to create a Financial penalty due to any special situation in or after a match, it will be required to fill the next 3 mandatory fields to complete the new disciplinary sanction:
Offender*
Select if the Offender was a Player, Team Official, Team, or Match official.
Penalty*
Select the amount of money the Offender will be charged.
The Currency can be changed for the one is used by the league. in Comment can be explained the reason why the Offender is being charged with the penalty.
Related Match*
Select ADD MATCH on the right-hand side.
After the related match is successfully added, click on IMPOSE to save the New Financial penalty Sanction.
As soon as the Finacial penalty is imposed, it will display in the sanctions tab for the competition.
In case of need to cancel or closing the sanction, click on the Active box and the options will appear.
